Everything a giver, a fund administrator, or a foundation committee needs to start the conversation.
The ask, in plain numbers.
The full production budget for the feature film is $8 million. While we will need to raise all $8 million, we can start filming once we get to a commitment level of $6.5 million, knowing that we will ultimately receive a rebate of roughly $1.5 million from filming in Morocco.
$4.5 million was committed in the first three months, nearly all through Donor-Advised Funds. Heaven Films is seeking the remaining commitments now. Production begins when we have met the goal.
Our team is prayerfully targeting Easter 2028 for release in theaters and then a likely move to streaming platforms thereafter, similar to the path taken by recent faith features.

Three ways to participate.
Through a donor-advised fund
Heaven Films has been approved to receive contributions from donor-advised funds (DAFs); nearly all of the $4.5 million committed so far has arrived this way. Your fund sponsor handles the grant; Heaven Films provides whatever details your administrator needs.

Briefing materials are available for boards and giving committees, and the team will join your committee call or an advisor conversation. This page and the film pages are made to be forwarded.

Production and funding FAQs.
Why is the production company for-profit?
Because that's how films get made. Heaven Films was formed in 2021 by the circle around Open the Bible to carry this story to theaters; a production LLC is the standard vehicle for hiring crew, contracting locations, and delivering a film. It has been approved to receive donor-advised fund contributions.
Can I really invest through my DAF?
Yes. It's how nearly all of the current commitments arrived. Your fund sponsor processes the grant; Heaven Films supplies the paperwork your administrator asks for.
Is there a financial plan I can review?
Yes. The full plan (budget detail, likely rebates, distribution scenarios) is walked through on the Zoom call, where it's much easier to understand than in a document.
Can my advisor or committee join?
Please bring them. The group Zoom welcomes advisors and foundation staff, and private sessions are available for committees.
When do you need commitments?
The team is closing the remaining $2 million now. Production begins when the goal closes, on the path to an Easter 2028 theatrical release.
